Cleaner
Location: South Yorkshire
Salary: National Minimum/Living Wage (dependent on age)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Various shifts available
Reed FE are recruiting for a Cleaner on behalf of one of our education sector clients.
As a Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.
Main Duties
*Undertake general cleaning duties across public areas, offices, classrooms and departmental spaces.
*Carry out tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting and general surface cleaning.
*Clean internal glass and sanitary facilities using appropriate cleaning products and equipment.
*Remove waste and support recycling processes in line with site procedures.
*Undertake deep cleaning and sanitisation tasks as required.
*Use cleaning products, materials and equipment safely and in accordance with training provided.
*Assist with stock control and reporting requirements.
*Report any maintenance, health and safety or security concerns promptly.
*Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure tasks are completed safely and effectively.
*Participate in relevant training and development activities.
Key Objectives
*Deliver a professional, friendly and proactive cleaning service.
*Create a positive first impression for students, staff and visitors.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure all cleaning duties are completed within agreed timescales.
*Support the smooth operation of the campus environment.
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience in a cleaning role.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Knowledge of the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
