Job Description:
Full job descriptionIf you’re an experienced Legal Secretary with a property background and you like being part of a genuinely busy team rather than sitting on the sidelines, this could be a very good move.
QED Legal is working with a highly regarded Yorkshire firm that is looking to add an experienced Legal Secretary to its Real Estate team in Bradford.
The team works with a really broad client base, including developers, investors, lenders, utility companies, housing providers, landlords, tenants and organisations across the public and third sectors. In short, there is plenty going on and the work is varied.
You’ll provide full secretarial and administrative support across the team, helping lawyers keep matters moving and making sure the detail is taken care of properly.
Alongside document preparation and general secretarial support, you’ll assist with monthly billing, credit management and financial information, as well as property-specific work including searches, SDLT forms, Land Registry applications and post-completion formalities.
Ideally, you’ll already have experience within commercial property or real estate and be comfortable using services such as the Land Registry Portal.
You’ll need strong IT and document management skills, experience of case management systems – ideally P4W – and confidence with digital dictation, track changes, document formatting and the usual Microsoft Office package.
More importantly, you’ll be organised, accurate and proactive. This is a busy team, so you’ll need to be comfortable managing competing priorities, using your initiative and working closely with lawyers and fellow support staff.
There may occasionally be a need to help colleagues elsewhere within the wider Real Estate group, so someone flexible and happy to muck in will fit particularly well.
For more information, contact Jill McCartney at QED Legal for a confidential conversation.
