Join a leading global organisation as an Interim Business Continuity & Resilience Manager during a critical period of transition. This interim role is crucial for driving forward a culture of operational resilience, maintaining operational leadership and delivering the organisation’s Business Continuity and Resilience programme effectively across a complex international environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
· Lead the management and delivery of the Business Continuity & Resilience programme as a trusted subject matter expert.
· Maintain and develop the organisation’s Business Continuity framework, policies, and supporting processes.
· Ensure incident management and business continuity plans are current, aligned, and effective across various business areas.
· Coordinate and oversee the completion and review of Business Impact Assessments (BIAs).
· Support the development, review, and continuous improvement of business continuity, contingency, and resilience plans.
· Conduct resilience mapping across business areas to identify inter-departmental dependencies.
· Design and facilitate crisis simulation and scenario-testing exercises for the executive team.
· Review recent incidents, facilitate lessons identified workshops and factor those lessons in to plan regeneration.
· Facilitate and manage associated governance forums.
· Provide oversight of incident management arrangements and support organisational preparedness activities.
· Work closely with stakeholders across the global operations to embed resilience best practices and improve organisational maturity.
· Monitor external threats, emerging risks, and geopolitical developments that could impact organisational operations.
· Produce high-quality reports, governance papers, management information, and programme documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Proven experience managing business continuity programmes within a complex organisation.
· Strong practical knowledge of business continuity management, organisational resilience, and incident management.
· Experience conducting and overseeing Business Impact Assessments.
· Expertise in developing, reviewing, and maintaining Business Continuity Plans.
· Ability to promptly engage, influence, and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
· Experience facilitating governance groups and presenting information to senior leaders.
· A collaborative approach that supports and enables business areas to strengthen their own resilience capability.
· Typically, candidates will have around five years’ experience operating at Business Continuity Manager level or within a similar resilience-focused role.
Working Arrangements:
· Full-time position, Monday to Friday.
· Flexible working arrangements available.
· Hybrid working model with approximately two days per week onsite in Cambridge preferred.
· Fully remote applicants may be considered.
