*Location: PR3 area
*Contract: Full-Time
*Start Date: 02/09/2026 - INSET Day Attendance Required

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and adaptable Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across our school. This full-time role involves supporting a Year 6 pupil with SEND and two pre-school children with complex communication needs. The successful candidate will be confident working across a wide age range and committed to helping every child achieve their full potential.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
*Support a Year 6 pupil in accessing learning and achieving individual targets outlined within their EHCP.
*Support two pre-school children who are currently non-verbal and require additional assistance with communication, engagement, and daily routines.
*Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver effective support strategies.
*Assist with creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
*Encourage independence, confidence, and positive social interactions.
*Support wider classroom and school activities as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Previous experience supporting children with SEND.
*Understanding of a range of additional needs, including communication difficulties.
*Ability to build positive relationships with children across different age groups.
*Patient, flexible, and resilient approach to supporting pupils with varying needs.
*Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Skills:
*Experience supporting non-verbal children.
*Knowledge of EHCPs and implementing personalised support strategies.
*Experience within both Early Years and Primary school settings.
*Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
