Job Description:
Full job descriptionAn outstanding Graduate Trainee opportunity has arisen within a top Specialist Real Estate Lender to train as a Bridging Underwriter. ( Full training provided)
The role duties:
Underwriting
*Review funding applications and proceed through the underwriting process to loan completion.
*Carry out credit / fraud / anti-money laundering checks.
*Instruct valuation reports / solicitors / quantity surveyors.
*Administer live cases through to redemption of the loan.
*Liaise with lawyers, surveyors, brokers and borrowers to ensure the loan and due diligence process progresses smoothly.
*Conduct post-completion communication with borrowers to ensure their project is progressing satisfactorily.
Experience
*A recent graduate, preferably with a degree in accounting, business studies, finance or similar.
*Able to build & maintain working relationships with colleagues / brokers / solicitors / customers.
*A good communicator, giving credible reasoning for considering / declining deals.
*Professional telephone manner.
*Accountable for own work load / decisions.
*Good level of knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
*Generally IT literate with a good ability to adapt to new systems and platforms.
