The Role
As a Recycling Centre Operative, you’ll be the face of the site, helping customers recycle responsibly while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Welcome and assist members of the public with waste and recycling enquiries.
*Guide customers on the correct disposal and recycling of materials.
*Check permits, process payments, and maintain accurate records.
*Help keep the site clean, organised, and safe at all times.
*Support recycling initiatives by reducing contamination and maximising recyclable materials.
*Work as part of a friendly and supportive team.
What We’re Looking For
*Excellent customer service and communication skills.
*A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude.
*Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
*Confidence using tablets, handheld devices, and payment systems.
*Previous experience in customer service, waste management, or outdoor work is beneficial but not essential.
Hours & Flexibility
08:00 - 17:00 shifts
Flexible weekly rota
Weekday, weekend, and ad hoc shifts available
Ongoing opportunities on a weekly basis
