*Salary to £40,560 per year (equivalent up to £20.00 per hour)
*Overtime paid at time-and-a-half
*Permanent Position, Factory-based
*Location: in the Cambourne - St. Neots area, Bedfordshire
*39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
*07:30 start with an early finish every Friday (12:00 midday)
*Rural / out-of-town location - own transport required


A leading manufacturer of bespoke food processing systems is recruiting an Electrical Assembly and Test Technician.


You’ll be wiring complete machines, carrying out functional testing/I-O checks, basic fault-finding, and supporting electrical work across the factory.


Key duties
*Machine wiring (sensors, motors, actuators, interconnects)
*Read schematics/layout drawings/BOMs
*Functional testing + basic fault-finding
*Assist with installs, upgrades and improvement projects


Essential
*Machine wiring/industrial electrical assembly background
*Confident reading drawings and fault diagnosis
*Experience with DOL and VFD systems
*Good teamwork and attention to quality/safety


Desirable
*18th Edition
*PLC/HMI exposure
*Installation experience


Career Progression
Development routes available into Controls Engineering (PLC/HMI), Test & Validation, Electrical Design (EPLAN/BOMs/layouts) and Commissioning (UK & international).


Hours & Overtime:
*39 hours per week, Monday to Friday (early finish Friday)
*Overtime generally available and paid at 1.5x (Mon-Fri and Saturday mornings)


Pay & Benefits:
*Up to £20.00 per hour (depending on experience)
