Full job descriptionJunior IBA Technician / IBA TechnicianHFG are currently partnering with a growing insurance business to recruit a Junior IBA Technician / IBA Technician for their London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) and gain exposure to the London Insurance Market. The role will sit within an experienced IBA team, supporting the accurate processing and reconciliation of client and insurer funds across a multi-currency environment.
The position could suit someone with existing IBA experience, as well as someone from a broader finance, accounts, banking or insurance background looking to move into the London Insurance Market. Full training will be provided.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Processing daily bank reports and accurately posting receipts and payments to the relevant ledgers
*Monitoring client and underwriter accounts and ensuring balances are maintained and reconciled
*Supporting the processing and allocation of payments across Non-Statutory Trust (NST) accounts
*Preparing and issuing remittance advice and payment reports
*Investigating and resolving unallocated cash and payment queries
*Completing weekly reconciliations across multiple bank accounts
*Supporting month-end reporting and reconciliation processes
*Assisting with reporting and analysis alongside the wider Finance team
*Working closely with colleagues to ensure deadlines and regulatory requirements are consistently met
We are keen to speak with candidates who have:
*Previous experience within Finance, Accounts, Insurance, Banking or a similar administrative environment
*Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
*Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*A proactive approach to investigating and resolving queries
*The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
*An understanding of basic accounting principles
Previous exposure to IBA, the London Insurance Market or Global XB would be beneficial but is not essential, with the business open to candidates looking to develop their experience within this area.
