Description
*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
*You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving manufacturing equipment and production systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently
*Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving equipment faults, supporting continuous improvement projects, ensuring machinery meets health and safety standards, and helping to maintain a reliable and efficient production environment.
*You will work closely with the production team to minimise downtime, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and support preventative maintenance programmes.
Profile
*The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent, such as an NVQ, BTEC or completed Engineering Apprenticeship, with further qualifications being advantageous.
*You will ideally have previous engineering or maintenance experience within a food manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or other fast-paced manufacturing environment.
*A strong technical background across both mechanical and electrical engineering is highly desirable, with proven experience in fault-finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
*Someone who is hands-on, practical and confident working directly with machinery and production equipment. You will be a natural problem solver who enjoys getting to the root cause of issues rather than simply applying a temporary fix.
*A proactive attitude, strong safety awareness and a willingness to contribute to continuous improvement are also important.
