Full job descriptionWe are working with a leading manufacturing company committed to precision, quality, and innovation. With a strong reputation in the industry, they are expanding their production team and seeking a Forklift Driver/Beam Saw Operator.
Role Overview
As a Forklift Driver you will also be required to be trained as a SAW Operator which will be the main part of the role, ensuring materials are cut accurately and efficiently to meet project specifications. You’ll work with advanced machinery, follow technical drawings, and maintain high standards of safety and quality. You will need to be physically fit/strong to lift heavy wood panels.
Key Responsibilities
*Operate beam saw machinery to cut panels and materials to precise measurements.
*Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists.
*Optimise cutting patterns to minimise waste.
*Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
*Collaborate with production team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
*Using a counterbalance forklift
Requirements
*Previous forklift experience
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
*Physically Fit
*Knowledge of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
*Good communication and teamwork skills.
Monday - Thursday 07:30 to 04:30, Friday 07:30 to 12:30
