About the RoleWe are recruiting for an organised and hands-on Warehouse Manager to take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of a busy warehouse operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader looking to take the next step into management, as well as an established Warehouse Manager seeking a stable Monday-to-Friday position.
You will take ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring goods are received, stored, handled and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable and practical, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to lead by example.
Key Responsibilities*Oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse.
*Manage the receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of goods.
*Ensure stock is stored safely, securely and accurately.
*Maintain high standards of organisation and housekeeping.
*Carry out and oversee regular stock checks.
*Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date.
*Ensure goods are handled carefully and prepared correctly for dispatch.
*Coordinate warehouse activities and ensure deadlines are met.
*Work closely with operations, transport and other internal teams.
*Ensure warehouse processes and procedures are followed correctly.
*Maintain a safe working environment and ensure health & safety standards are met.
*Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency.
*Lead by example and support members of the warehouse team.
*Deal with day-to-day warehouse issues and resolve them promptly.
*Take ownership of warehouse standards, accuracy and overall efficiency.
About YouWe are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and naturally takes ownership of their work.
You may already be working as a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader and be ready to progress into a management position.
You will ideally have:
*Previous experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
*Experience supervising or leading a warehouse team, or strong leadership skills.
*Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
*Good organisational and time-management skills.
*A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved where required.
*A strong focus on accuracy and quality.
*The ability to work independently and take responsibility for the warehouse operation.
*Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other teams.
*A proactive approach to problem solving and improving processes.
Experience within furniture, logistics or transport would be advantageous but is not essential.
