Temp to Perm | Full Time | Monday to Friday

Mosaic Recruitment is recruiting for a Dispatch & Warehouse Operative to join a growing distribution and engineering company.
This is a great opportunity to join a small, friendly and supportive team working in a clean, organised warehouse environment. The company is continuing to grow, so there is genuine scope for development for the right person.
Hours
*Monday to Thursday: 8.00am - 4.30pm
*Friday: 8.00am - 4.00pm
The Role

You will support all aspects of warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately, safely and on time.

Key responsibilities will include:
*Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
*Ensuring products are handled carefully and are not damaged.
*Accurately checking goods prior to shipment.
*Operating warehouse equipment including pallet trucks, lifting tables and trolleys.
*Using PCs and PDA scanners for warehouse management and courier shipping systems.
*Booking and processing courier shipments.
*Assisting company vehicles and external couriers with loading and unloading.
*Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse.
*Supporting colleagues with general warehouse duties as required.
*Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and happy to work as part of a small team.

Ideally, you will have:
*Previous warehouse or distribution experience.
*Experience with order picking, packing and dispatch.
*Good manual handling skills and the ability to undertake a physically active role.
*Confidence using computers and PDA scanners.
*Experience using courier systems such as DPD, DX or similar.
*A reasonable knowledge of UK towns and cities.
*Good communication and teamwork skills.
*Strong attention to detail.
*A positive and flexible approach to work.
*A good understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment.
Desirable:
*Forklift licence would be beneficial but not essential
*Immediately available or short notice period.
