Salary £60,000 to £65,000 + Bonus
An established manufacturing business based in South Cambridge is seeking a Financial Controller to lead its finance function and support the senior leadership team with high-quality financial insight and reporting.
This is a hands-on role offering broad responsibility across financial control, commercial analysis, process improvement, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
*Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
*Leading budgeting and forecasting processes
*Delivering insightful management information and financial analysis
*Costing and variance analysis to support operational decision-making
*Ownership of month-end and year-end processes
*Supporting external audits and statutory reporting requirements
*Developing financial controls, systems, and processes
*Partnering with operational teams to improve business performance
*Managing and developing a small finance team
About You
*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred
*Strong management accounting, reporting, and analytical skills
*Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar environment would be advantageous
*Comfortable working in a hands-on SME environment
*Strong systems and ERP knowledge with a continuous improvement mindset
*Leadership and team management experience
