An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a successful and highly regarded organisation in Oxfordshire. This is a broad and influential role where you will work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insight, support strategic decision-making and ensure the continued effective management of resources. The position offers genuine flexibility alongside meaningful responsibility, making it ideal for an experienced finance professional seeking a part-time role with impact.

Your new role
As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include:
*Lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning process.
*Produce monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis.
*Support senior leaders with financial decision-making and budget management.
*Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective action where required.
*Provide regular financial information and insight to stakeholders across the organisation.
*Oversee core finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliations and expenses.
*Support payroll processes and monitor staffing costs against budget.
*Complete month-end procedures including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Maintain strong financial controls, compliance and governance processes.
*Manage and develop a small finance team while driving continuous improvement across systems and procedures.
*Support audit requirements and act as a key contact for finance-related enquiries.


What you’ll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate, you will need:
*Previous experience producing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
*Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance and accounting best practice.
*Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
*The ability to analyse complex financial information and communicate it clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
*A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
*Experience leading or supporting finance teams would be advantageous.
*Experience within education, not-for-profit or other publicly funded environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
