We are seeking a qualified English Teacher for a temporary position at our Further Education college in Ashford. This role involves teaching English to students aged 16-19, focusing on GCSE and resit courses. The ideal candidate will be ready to start immediately and bring a dynamic approach to teaching and learning.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students preparing for their GCSEs and those undertaking resit examinations.
*Develop and implement innovative lesson plans and instructional materials to cater to different learning abilities.
*Assess student progress through regular tests, assignments, and provide constructive feedback.
*Offer additional support and guidance to students, particularly those struggling with their coursework.
*Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student attendance, assessments, and progress.
*Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, BEd, Cert Ed).
*Experience teaching English at GCSE level or equivalent.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Proven ability to engage and inspire students in a productive learning environment.
*Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and the demands of the role.
