Full job descriptionThis temporary Payroll Officer role based in Woking is all about ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll within the not for profit sector.

My client is a charity dedicated to providing specialist care and support for older people. They are committed to ensuring elderly individuals have access to safe, high-quality care, social support, activities and opportunities that enhance their wellbeing and quality of life.
Description
*Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees - salary and hourly pay.
*Handle payroll queries and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
*Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
*Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
*Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to support financial reporting.
*Prepare and submit required payroll reports to relevant authorities.
*Assist with the implementation of process improvements in payroll systems.
*Provide support during payroll audits as required.
Profile
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
*Strong end to end payroll experience
*Strong knowledge of pensions, Tax and NI.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
*Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
*Good knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance.
*Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle queries effectively.
*Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
*Able to take the lead on all payroll operations as sole payroll person
*CIPP Qualification preferable but not essential
Job Offer
*Salary paid as day rate equivalent of up to £43,000
*Hybrid minimum 2 days in the office
*Possibility to go perm.
