Job Description:
Full job descriptionRobert Half are recruiting an FP&A Specialist for a private equity-backed professional services business, pursuing an ambitious organic and buy-and-build growth strategy ahead of a planned exit in the coming years.
This is a great opportunity to join a high-growth, fast-paced finance function with genuine exposure to board reporting, M&A and business scale-up.
*Location: Herefordshire / hybrid - 2 days on site, 3 remote
*Duration: up to 6 months
*Day rate: Up to £500pd (Inside & experience dependent)
*Start: ASAP
Duties for the role:
*Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts, working closely with department and divisional heads
*Build and maintain robust financial models for scenario planning and sensitivity analysis, tracking progress against the growth plan
*Support delivery of monthly Board packs and investor reporting, including KPI dashboards and trend analysis for PE sponsor requirements
*Analyse pricing, margin and contract profitability across service lines, including recurring revenue contracts
*Support working capital/cash flow analysis and capex business cases
*Support financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration for bolt-on acquisitions, including harmonising reporting and KPIs across acquired businesses
*Drive continuous improvement of reporting tools, templates and processes, including ERP/system automation
What they’re looking for:
*Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
*Experience in FP&A, financial analysis or commercial finance, ideally in a fast-growing, multi-site or services-based business
*Experience with recurring-revenue services highly advantageous
*Exposure to PE-backed businesses, Board reporting or M&A/due diligence a strong plus
*Experience consolidating multi-entity/multi-site results beneficial
*Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills essential; Power BI/ERP-consolidation systems knowledge advantageous
*Working knowledge of AI and automation of planning processes highly advantageous
