Job Description:
Full job descriptionREED Further Education are recruiting a dedicated Learning Coach to support learners with SEND, PMLD, autism, and additional learning needs at Merton College.
Learning Coach (SEND)
Location: Merton, South London
Pay: £17.15 per hour
Hours: Tuesday Wednesday and Friday’s 9am to 4pm
Contract: Temporary ongoing, term time only
Our client supports young adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs through specialist education, therapy, and employability pathways. Facilities include dedicated learning spaces, a private garden, kitchen and laundry facilities, a greenhouse, and wellbeing areas.
Key Responsibilities of the learning coach role
*Support learners with learning difficulties and challenging behaviours
*Assist with reading, writing, scribing, and classroom activities
*Promote wellbeing, confidence, and independence
*Create and review SMART targets
*Work closely with teaching and support staff
Requirements for the learning coach position
*Experience supporting SEND, PMLD, ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, or challenging behaviours, or
*Experience in care, personal care, or manual handling
*Patient, supportive, and proactive approach
