Job Description:
Full job descriptionDarcyBrook Procurement & Supply are looking to recruit a Buyer for a manufacturing company based near Tonbridge. The successful candidates will be highly organised and demonstrate a good understanding of Excel and MRP systems.
Key Responsibilities
*Process and expedite purchase orders accurately and efficiently
*Liaise with suppliers to resolve shortages, delays, quality issues, and invoice queries.
*Expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
*Monitor supplier performance
*Initiate supplier negotiations for pricing, delivery, and service levels.
*Maintain optimal inventory levels
*Identify opportunities for cost savings.
Experience
*Experience in a purchasing role ideally within manufacturing
*Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
*Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to analyse data accurately
*A good level of Excel
