Full job descriptionAbout the roleWe’re looking for an experienced, approachable and hands-on HR Manager to join our team and take ownership of our day-to-day HR function.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being people-focused while also understanding the needs of a growing business. You’ll work closely with our Managing Director, managers and employees, providing practical HR advice and helping us continue to build a positive, professional and supportive workplace.
What you’ll be doing*Lead the day-to-day HR function, providing practical support to managers and employees.
*Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, performance and wellbeing.
*Manage the full recruitment process, from advertising and selection through to onboarding and probation reviews.
*Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, contracts, policies and HR documentation.
*Coordinate performance reviews, training, development, engagement and retention initiatives.
*Provide accurate monthly payroll information and support benefits administration.
*Ensure compliance with UK employment law, right-to-work requirements, GDPR and company policies.
*Produce and review HR reports covering headcount, absence, turnover and recruitment.
*Help promote a fair, inclusive, professional and positive workplace culture.
*Support organisational change, restructuring and wider business improvement projects.
*Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems and ways of working.
What we’re looking forWe’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable, confident and approachable, with the ability to build strong relationships throughout the business.
Essential skills and qualifications:
*CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent professional HR experience.
*Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
*Experience managing disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
*Proven experience across recruitment, onboarding and HR administration.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Strong organisation and attention to detail.
*Good commercial judgement and the ability to balance employee needs with business requirements.
*A high level of discretion and professionalism.
*Confidence using HR systems, Microsoft Office and payroll-related processes.
What we offer*£48,000-£55,000 salary, depending on experience.
*30 days’ annual leave, plus an additional day for each year of service and your birthday.
