Full-Time | September 2026 Start | Long-Term Opportunity
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Southend-on-Sea from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced primary teacher or an Early Career Teacher looking to join a supportive school where high-quality teaching, strong relationships and pupil development are at the heart of everything they do.
The RoleAs the Year 1 Class Teacher, you will take responsibility for creating an engaging, well-structured and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 1 curriculum
*Creating a positive and stimulating classroom environment
*Supporting pupils as they transition from the Early Years into Key Stage 1
*Differentiating learning to meet a range of abilities and needs
*Monitoring pupil progress and using assessment effectively
*Developing positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
*Promoting positive behaviour and high expectations
*Working collaboratively with colleagues across the school
*Contributing to the wider life of the school and its community
The Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for a teacher who is enthusiastic, organised and passionate about primary education, with a genuine commitment to helping children develop a love of learning.
You will ideally have:
*QTS or recognised UK teaching qualification
*Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
*A good understanding of the Year 1 curriculum
*Strong classroom management skills
*The ability to plan engaging and appropriately challenging lessons
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A nurturing and inclusive approach to supporting pupils
