Are you looking to start your career in Supply Chain with a business that genuinely invests in your development? Our client, a well-established and fast-growing distribution business, is looking for an analytical and driven Stock Controller to join their Operations team in Enfield.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience across stock control, purchasing and supplier management, with a clear path for progression as you grow into the role.
The Role
As Stock Controller, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of stock across the network - balancing high product availability against excess stock. You’ll monitor stock levels, forecast demand, manage the flow of purchase orders to suppliers and build strong working relationships with suppliers to keep deliveries on time and in full.
*Monitor stock levels and produce accurate forecasts of stock demand
*Manage the flow of purchase orders to suppliers, factoring in lead times
*Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries
*Maintain a network view of stock and build a timely replenishment plan
*Manage a defined category of products and suppliers
*Maintain accurate system data (MOQs, lead times, pallet/layer data)
*Work closely with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to resolve supply issues
*Learn and develop skills on the company’s ERP system to super-user level
About You
You don’t need years of experience - you need the right mindset. We’re looking for someone who is:
*Analytical, with a logical approach to problem-solving and interpreting data
*Competent using Microsoft Excel, and comfortable learning new systems and reports
*Keen to learn new skills and build a long-term career in Supply Chain
*Organised, methodical and comfortable working to deadlines
*A confident communicator, able to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
*Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English
What’s On Offer
*£28,400 salary + bonus + benefits
*Full training and support to help you develop within the role
*Once trained and working independently to a high standard, the option to work from home 2 days per week
*Genuine opportunities for progression and development within a growing business
*A supportive team environment where new ideas and initiative are encouraged
Why Apply?
This is a perfect role for someone looking to start their career within Supply Chain and join a business that can offer real progression and development. If you’re analytical, keen to learn and ready to build a career rather than just take a job, we’d love to hear from you.
