We are working with a well-established business based in Pontefract who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team on a 3 month contract.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to step into a varied role and provide support across the wider finance function.
The Role
As Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:
*Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting.
*Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
*Preparing and posting journals, including accruals and prepayments.
*Providing financial analysis and commentary to support business decisions.
*Supporting with budgeting and forecasting activity.
*Assisting with month-end processes and ensuring deadlines are met.
*Producing ad hoc financial reports and analysis as required.
*Working closely with colleagues across the wider business to provide accurate financial information.
About You
We’re looking for a Management Accountant with strong management accounting experience who can quickly settle into a new environment and hit the ground running.
You’ll ideally have:
*Previous experience working in a management accounting role.
*Strong month-end and management accounts experience.
*Good knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and journals.
*Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
*Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
*The ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
*Good communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.
