Make a Difference Through Personalised Maths Support
We’re looking for a Maths Tutor to provide 1:1 support to children and young people across Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you’ll support learners who require alternative educational provision and a more tailored approach to learning. Students may be working at a range of levels, from primary through to GCSE, and often benefit from dedicated support that helps improve confidence, strengthen mathematical understanding, and increase engagement with education.
This is a flexible opportunity for education professionals who enjoy adapting their teaching style to meet individual needs and seeing the direct impact of their support.
*Location: Bournemouth & Surrounding Areas

*Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
*Type: 1:1 Tuition


Requirements
*Minimum 6 months’ experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
*Strong Maths subject knowledge
*Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
*Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
*Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally around Bournemouth and surrounding areas

*Anxiety and school avoidance
*EHCPs and additional educational needs
