We’re recruiting an Accounts Assistant Manager for a leading accountancy practice in Truro.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts Senior or Assistant Manager looking to take the next step in their career, managing a varied client portfolio and gaining greater responsibility across accounts, tax and business advisory.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
* Review statutory accounts, management accounts and tax computations
* Review VAT returns and other compliance work
* Lead client assignments and ensure deadlines and budgets are met
* Provide accounting, tax and commercial advice to clients
* Identify opportunities to deliver additional services
* Monitor WIP, budgets and assignment profitability
* Liaise with HMRC and other professional advisers
* Support Partners and Managers with client meetings
*Coach, mentor and develop junior team members
* Build strong, long-term client relationships
About You
* ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
* Strong accountancy practice experience
* Experience managing a portfolio of clients
* Good technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax
* Experience reviewing accounts and supervising junior staff
* Strong communication and client relationship skills
* Commercially aware and proactive
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
* Confident dealing directly with clients
* Keen to develop your career within a progressive accountancy practice
