Help Young People Build Confidence in Maths
We’re looking for a Maths Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to children and young people across Christchurch and the surrounding areas.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you’ll support learners who require alternative educational provision and benefit from a tailored approach to learning. Students may be of varying ages and abilities, with many needing additional support to improve confidence, develop key mathematical skills, and re-engage with education.
This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity for education professionals who enjoy working closely with students and making a meaningful impact on their progress.
*Location: Christchurch & Surrounding Areas
*Subject: Maths
*Start Date: September
*Hours: Flexible
*Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
*Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements
*Minimum 6 months’ experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
*Strong Maths subject knowledge
*Ability to adapt sessions to different learning styles and abilities
*Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
*Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally around Christchurch and surrounding areas

*Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
*Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
*ADHD
*Anxiety and school avoidance
*EHCPs and additional educational needs
