We’re recruiting an Accounts Senior for a leading accountancy practice in Exeter, working with a varied portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and private clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Senior or Practice Accountant looking for a varied role covering accounts preparation, tax, VAT, bookkeeping and advisory work, with excellent opportunities for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare year-end statutory accounts
* Prepare corporation tax and personal tax computations
* Prepare and review VAT returns
* Produce management accounts, forecasts and financial projections
* Complete bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
* Analyse financial information and provide commercial insight
* Manage client work against budgets and deadlines
* Build strong, long-term client relationships
* Liaise with HMRC and other professional advisers
* Support and supervise junior team members
About You
* AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or studying
* Previous accountancy practice experience
* Strong accounts preparation experience
* Good knowledge of UK accounts and tax
* Experience with VAT and bookkeeping
* Strong Excel and accounting software skills
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* Organised with strong attention to detail
* Proactive, commercial and client-focused
