Full job descriptionWe are seeking a Finance Manager to join our prestigious client based in Cambridge. This is a key role within the finance team and will oversee day-to-day finance operations including financial accounting, audit, treasury, tax and payroll, whilst managing a small transactional team.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Financial Reporting: Assist in producing statutory accounts, liaise with external auditors and advise on complex accounting transactions. Ensure robust financial controls and processes.
*Team Management: Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring clear objectives, motivation and professional development.
*Investment and Trust Management: Prepare valuation reports, monitor investment distributions and manage trust funds ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
*Cash Flow and Fees Management: Manage fee reconciliations, produce monthly cash flow reports and monitor bank accounts to ensure optimal balances.
*Payroll Oversight: Oversee payroll processing, ensure accurate reconciliations, and manage taxable benefits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and financial accounting
*Prior experience managing a team, whether with direct reports or in an audit setting.
*Problem solving, solutions-focused approach which extends to how you manage your team
*Full chartered accounting qualification is essential (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
