The opportunityExecutive Search is a more consultative area of recruitment, focused on identifying and approaching experienced professionals for senior and specialist appointments.
You’ll learn how to understand a client’s business, research its market, identify suitable professionals and manage conversations with candidates who may not be actively looking for a new role.
Some of the assignments you work on can generate significant placement fees, giving you exposure to commercially valuable recruitment processes early in your career.
As you develop, you’ll take on more responsibility for candidates, clients and new business, with your earnings increasing through the uncapped commission scheme.

What will you actually be doing?You’ll be trained across the full recruitment process, including:
*Researching companies, markets and competitors
*Identifying and approaching high-calibre candidates
*Speaking with senior professionals about their careers
*Interviewing and assessing candidates
*Building relationships with existing clients
*Arranging interviews and managing feedback
*Negotiating offers

This is a commercial role, so you’ll need to be comfortable speaking to new people, handling rejection and working towards clear goals. In return, your performance has a direct impact on how quickly you progress and how much you earn.

Training and progressionNo previous recruitment experience is required.
You’ll join a structured graduate training programme designed to take you from trainee level through to becoming a confident Executive Search Consultant.
Your training will cover:
*Recruitment and Executive Search fundamentals
*Candidate sourcing and headhunting
*Market mapping and research
*Business development
*Client relationship management
*Candidate interviewing
*Negotiation
*Commercial awareness
Alongside formal training, you’ll receive ongoing coaching and one-to-one support from experienced Directors.
Progression is based on clear performance milestones rather than simply time served, giving strong performers the opportunity to take on more responsibility and increase their earnings relatively quickly.
