Key Responsibilities
*Support children including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individual and small-group interventions.
*Adapt activities and resources to meet pupils’ individual learning, communication, and sensory needs.
*Promote children’s social, emotional, language, and physical development.
*Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
*Observe, monitor, and record pupils’ progress and share feedback with staff and parents as appropriate.
*Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
*Build positive relationships
Person Specification
*Experience working with primary-aged children in a school setting.
*Good English and Maths skills.
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
*Patient, caring, and able to engage and support pupils.
*Organised, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
*Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil wellbeing
*Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
Desirable
*Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or training.
*Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
*Knowledge of the primary curriculum.
*Experience delivering interventions or small-group support.
*First aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training).
*Commitment to ongoing professional development.
