Accounts Assistant

The company: A leading global distributor of components specialising in helping manufacturers providing innovative solutions


Main duties: To support the finance team with cashflow management and accounting duties


The role:
- Support with general bookkeeping including debit and credit processes
- Process multi-currency payments and sales invoices and manage currency exchange differences
- Manage sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank reconciliations
- Assist the finance team with preparation of VAT returns; including month-end and year-end closing
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to enquiries in a timely manner
- Give administrative support and other ad hoc duties as required


The candidate:
- Experience as an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role
- AAT qualified or part-qualified - Essential
- Excellent communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to be a strong team player as well as work independently
- IT literate with skills in excel and SAGE
