*Location: Derbyshire
Join a leading manufacturing company in Derbyshire as a Procurement Lead. This pivotal role involves managing the sourcing of site services and related capital spend across the group, focusing on delivering spend reduction targets and enhancing procurement processes.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to transition into the manufacturing industry.
The company finishes at 1.30pm every Friday and has a lucrative pension scheme
Day-to-day of the role:
*Maintain and practice high standards of health and safety.
*Leverage, consolidate, and target site spend to assist in the delivery of spend reduction targets in areas such as leasing, soft and hard services.
*Collaborate with suppliers and other departments to deliver productivity and efficiency savings.
*Source, manage, and liaise with suppliers to ensure site needs are met.
*Manage and contribute to group procurement projects through formal Request for Proposal (RFP) procedures, potentially leading on agreed category reviews.
*Raise requisitions for certain areas of spend and source service quotes.
*Act as the Procurement Lead for the site, attending daily management meetings.
*Update and maintain supplier contracts within the management system.
*Implement Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure high performance from suppliers.
*Liaise closely with suppliers, maintenance, finance, and operations teams.
*Attend and lead on projects in quarterly group procurement reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Degree level education in any discipline (preferred).
*MCIPS qualification or working towards it.
*Experience in using ERP systems.
*Knowledge of MRO storeroom management and basic MRP controls.
*Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
*Must have indirect procurement experience.
*Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
*Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
*Strong negotiation skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
*Self-motivated with a strong assertive approach, able to communicate at all levels.
