We are recruiting for a Chef to join a friendly team within a school setting, preparing meals for approximately 10 residents. This is initially a 3-month temporary position with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
The Role
As Chef, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading a team of 3 chefs and ensuring residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals.
Key responsibilities include:
*Planning and preparing fresh, nutritious meals for residents.
*Managing and completing food orders and stock control.
*Creating menus and emailing menu plans to houses within the school.
*Supervising and supporting a team of 3 chefs.
*Maintaining food hygiene, health and safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards.
*Managing food costs and minimising waste.
*Catering for dietary requirements and individual preferences.

Working Hours
Shift pattern:
*9:00am - 5:00pm or 10:00am - 6:00pm.
*3-week rota system.
*Only 1 weekend in every 3 worked.
*Some weeks require working just 3 days, offering fantastic work-life balance.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
*Has previous experience working as a Chef or Senior Chef.
*Can confidently manage food ordering and menu planning.
*Has strong leadership skills and experience supervising kitchen staff.
*Holds a Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
*Is organised, reliable, and passionate about delivering excellent food and service.
