We are recruiting for a Process Operative / FLT Driver to join a busy and fast-paced manufacturing operation. This position offers a varied role involving material handling, stock movement, metal processing, and dispatch activities within a safety-focused environment.
The successful candidate will have previous warehouse experience, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
*Loading and unloading vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck.
*Safe operation of overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
*Completing all operational paperwork and pre-use inspections accurately.
*Processing materials to customer specifications.
*Packing and preparing finished metal products for dispatch.
*Following written procedures and work instructions.
*Maintaining high housekeeping standards in line with 5S principles.
*Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
*Ensuring compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements.
*Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily operational targets.
About You
Essential
*Previous experience within a warehouse, metals/manufacturing, or distribution environment.
*Valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
*Experience loading and unloading vehicles.
*Good communication and organisational skills.
*Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
*Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
*Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Desirable
*Experience operating overhead cranes and using lifting slings.
*Previous experience handling metals, industrial products, or chemicals.
*Knowledge of stock control and warehouse management processes.
*Understanding of 5S and continuous improvement principles.

*Week 1 - Mon to Thursday - Friday and Saturday and Sunday off - days only
*Week 2 - Tues to Friday - early finish on a Friday at 2:30pm and Sat and Sunday Off - days only
