A leading professional regulatory organisation is seeking a Witness Statement Officer to join its Legal Team in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal, investigator, caseworker or regulatory professional with experience of taking witness statements and gathering evidence to join a supportive and purpose-driven organisation. You’ll play a key role in helping progress complex fitness to practise investigations, ensuring witness evidence is obtained and documented to the highest standard.
This role is initially offered on a 3-month contract.

Your new role
As a Witness Statement Officer, you will be responsible for:
*Analysing case files and key documentation to identify evidential requirements
*Preparing witness interview plans
*Conducting witness interviews
*Drafting high-quality witness statements in accordance with legal and procedural requirements
*Supporting lawyers and investigators on witness-related matters
*Explaining legal processes clearly and sensitively to witnesses and complainants
*Working within a statutory and regulatory framework
*Providing an excellent level of customer service and witness care throughout the investigation process

What you’ll need to succeed
*Previous experience drafting witness statements and gathering evidence
*Strong analytical skills and the ability to review complex information
*Excellent written communication and attention to detail
*Experience interviewing witnesses or conducting investigative conversations
*The ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with a wide range of individuals, including vulnerable parties
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines and performance targets
