Full job descriptionJob Title: General Maintenance Operative / Handyperson
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £30,000 - £31,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (rotating shifts)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Maintenance Operative / Handyman to join an established business. You will support the maintenance, security and general appearance of the site, carrying out a variety of practical and operational duties.
Responsibilities of General Maintenance Operative / Handyperson:
*Secure buildings and respond to alarms and emergency call-outs
*Carry out general repairs, plumbing, heating, painting and maintenance
*Identify and report hazards and defects
*Prepare rooms for events and meetings
*Assist with deliveries, waste and recycling
*Respond appropriately to emergencies
*Follow safeguarding, health and safety and site procedures
Skills & Experience:
*Previous maintenance, caretaking or handyperson experience
*Full clean driving licence
*Basic IT, English and numeracy skills
*Good understanding of health and safety and COSHH
*Comfortable working at height with appropriate training
*Reliable, flexible and physically capable
*Strong teamwork and communication skills
*Professional approach
