Job Description:
Full job descriptionFamily Engagement Officer | Newham | ASAPRemedy Education are currently looking for an experienced Family Engagement Officer to join a welcoming education setting in Newham, East London.
The successful candidate will work closely with children, families and school staff to build positive relationships and provide support to families within the local community.
The role will include:
*Building strong and positive relationships with parents and families
*Supporting families who may be experiencing additional challenges
*Signposting parents to relevant services and external agencies
*Working closely with teaching, pastoral and safeguarding staff
*Encouraging parental engagement with the school
*Supporting meetings, workshops and family-focused activities
*Maintaining accurate records and following safeguarding procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience working with children and families
*Experience within a school, children’s centre, Early Years or community setting
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*A good understanding of safeguarding
*The ability to work confidently with families from a range of backgrounds
