An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Property Litigation Solicitor to join a thriving and highly regarded dispute resolution team in Tunbridge Wells.
This is an ideal role for a Solicitor with between 1-5 years’ PQE who is looking to develop their expertise in contentious property matters whilst working alongside two highly experienced Solicitors on a broad range of complex and high-value disputes.
The firm acts for an established client base that includes commercial businesses, property owners, landlords, developers and high-net-worth individuals, providing exposure to interesting and often complex litigation matters.
The Role
You will work within a successful Litigation team handling a diverse range of contentious property matters while benefiting from excellent supervision, mentoring and technical development.
The caseload will include:
*Commercial landlord and tenant disputes
*Breach of covenant claims
*1954 Act business lease renewals
*Dilapidations disputes
*Service charge disputes
*Forfeiture proceedings
*Residential possession claims
*Boundary disputes
*Easements and rights of way
*Restrictive covenant disputes
*Adverse possession claims
*General property litigation matters
*Arbitration, mediation and alternative dispute resolution
You will also work closely with the firm’s Commercial Property and Residential Conveyancing teams, providing specialist contentious property advice to existing clients.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing a varied caseload of property disputes
*Advising landlords, tenants, businesses and private individuals
*Drafting pleadings, witness statements and legal correspondence
*Representing clients in High Court and County Court proceedings
*Engaging in mediation, negotiation and ADR processes
*Providing commercially focused and practical legal advice
*Building and maintaining strong client relationships
*Supporting business development activities and networking opportunities
*Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple practice areas
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will:
*Be a qualified Solicitor with 1-5 years’ PQE
*Have experience in Property Litigation or broader Civil Litigation with exposure to property disputes
*Possess strong technical legal knowledge and analytical skills
*Be capable of managing files with an appropriate level of supervision
*Demonstrate excellent communication and client care skills
*Have a commercial and solutions-focused approach
*Enjoy working as part of a collaborative and supportive team
*Be interested in developing your profile within the local legal market
