We’re recruiting an Accounts Manager for a growing accountancy practice in Peterborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with UK practice experience who wants to take a senior, client-facing role.
You’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted advisor and providing a combination of accounts, tax, planning and business advisory services.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage workflow, deadlines and staff allocations
* Manage a diverse portfolio of accountancy practice clients
* Build strong, long-term client relationships
* Understand client objectives and identify opportunities to add value
* Organise and attend client meetings
* Review and oversee annual accounts and tax returns
* Manage one-off advisory and planning projects
* Ensure work is accurate, compliant and delivered on time
* Review work completed by junior team members
* Coach and mentor junior accountants
* Work closely with Partners and Directors on client matters


About You

*ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
* Proven experience in a similar Accounts Manager / Client Manager role
* Strong UK accountancy practice experience
* Excellent knowledge of accounts and personal taxation
* Strong understanding of financial management and accounting principles
* Audit experience advantageous but not essential
* Experience using accounts and tax software
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills
* Commercially aware and confident providing advice
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
