I’m currently working with a highly regarded specialist law firm on an exciting opportunity for a Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join its Manchester team.
The firm operates within the sports and media sectors, advising a range of high-profile clients on complex and often high-profile matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Solicitor looking to develop their contentious experience within a genuinely niche and interesting area of law.
The role
Joining an established team of specialist contentious lawyers, you will be involved in a broad range of disputes and regulatory matters, including:
*Advising clients on disputes and regulatory matters within the sports sector
*Handling commercial litigation, including media and social media disputes
*Advising on disciplinary and regulatory investigations
*Working on matters involving sporting governing bodies and dispute resolution forums
*Advising on a range of contentious issues affecting clubs, athletes, agents and other organisations
*Working closely with experienced lawyers and high-profile clients
*Supporting business development and helping to develop the firm’s disputes practice
About you
The firm is looking for a Dispute Resolution Solicitor from NQ to 4 PQE, although candidates outside of this range may also be considered where they have the right experience.
You should have:
*Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales
*Strong academics and excellent communication skills
*Experience within Dispute Resolution/Commercial Litigation
*An interest in sports, media or regulatory work
*Sports and media experience would be advantageous but is not essential
*A commercial and entrepreneurial approach
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
*The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team
*Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends where required
