Full job descriptionWe’re Growing Our Team at Maplewood Independent Living.
We’re looking for individuals who are fun, energetic, and uplifting to join a small, dedicated care team supporting an adult with complex medical and care needs in her own home.
This is a really special role for someone who brings positive energy, warmth, and initiative into everything they do. You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team, helping to create a calm, engaging, and empowering environment day to day.

Your Role as a Live in Carer
*Work as part of an established team to support and maintain the client’s independence at home.
*Confidently assist with personal care, medication and daily routines.
*Maintain accurate records.
*Ensure the client’s health, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
*Communicate regularly with the branch manager and team.
Requirements of a Live in Carer
*Right to work in the UK (required).
*Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
*Reliable, professional, and caring attitude.
*Respect for client dignity, independence, and confidentiality.
*Comfortable using a smartphone (training provided for care app).
Desired Skills for a Live in Carer
*Previous care experience is essential.
*Strong communication skills – good standard of spoken and written English.
*Able to work on their own initiative.
*Good timekeeping and reliability.
*Naturally upbeat with a great sense of humour.
*Trustworthy and professional.
*A genuine "people person" who can lift the atmosphere around them.
