Full job descriptionI’m currently working on an opportunity for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join a well-established accountancy practice in Leeds.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys working closely with private clients and wants exposure to more than just straightforward tax compliance. You’ll work with a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, business owners, families, trusts and estates, providing both compliance and advisory support.
The roleYou’ll take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of private clients, acting as a key point of contact and building strong, long-term relationships.
Your work will include:
*Managing a portfolio of HNW and private clients.
*Overseeing the preparation and review of Self Assessment tax returns.
*Advising clients on UK income tax and capital gains tax matters.
*Working with trusts, estates and family groups.
*Supporting business owners and entrepreneurs with their personal tax affairs.
*Providing advice around tax planning and other ad hoc private client matters.
*Reviewing work completed by more junior members of the team.
*Liaising with clients and other advisers where appropriate.
*Identifying opportunities to provide additional advice and support.
*Helping develop more junior members of the team and sharing your technical knowledge.
What they’re looking forYou’ll ideally be ACA, CTA or ATT qualified, with solid experience working within a UK private client tax team.
You’ll have a good technical understanding of UK personal tax, alongside experience managing your own client portfolio.
The ideal person will be comfortable dealing directly with clients, able to manage their own workload and enjoy working on more complex affairs rather than purely high-volume compliance.
Experience across HNW individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships or owner-managed businesses would be particularly useful.
