Full job descriptionElevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting an established specialist engineering manufacturer in Huddersfield to recruit a Production Supervisor. This is a varied position combining day-to-day production leadership with practical engineering support, continuous improvement and responsibility for quality, safety and performance.
You’ll be joining a close-knit manufacturing operation where you can make a genuine impact on the factory floor.
What’s on offer
Salary: £35,000
Monday-to-Friday day shift with a 12:30pm finish every Friday
Key responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include:
*Managing production staffing and daily shop-floor activities
*Ensuring output, quality and delivery targets are achieved
*Leading, developing and motivating production employees
*Supporting the assembly and testing of products when required
*Managing the maintenance and improvement of production equipment and tooling
*Troubleshooting manufacturing issues and identifying root causes
*Supporting continuous improvement projects and future business growth
*Maintaining strong communication across the production team
*Ensuring health, safety and environmental procedures are followed
*Maintaining high housekeeping standards and a clean, safe workplace
We’re looking for experienced Production Supervisors with the below skills & experience:
*Previous experience supervising within an engineering or manufacturing environment
*A time-served engineering background
*The ability to operate lathes and milling machines would be beneficial
*Strong problem-solving and process-improvement skills
*Confident communication and people-management abilities
*Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement
*A flexible, hands-on approach, including occasional overtime when required
