Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation seeking a detail-oriented and organised individual to join their Finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of multiple payrolls while working in a supportive and professional environment. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring contractors are paid accurately and on time, whilst delivering excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
The RoleAs a Payroll Administrator, you’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of payrolls from start to finish, ensuring all payroll processes are completed accurately and within strict deadlines. You’ll also provide support with payroll queries, statutory requirements and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities*Process and reconcile weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
*Ensure payrolls are completed accurately and employees and contractors are paid on time.
*Process statutory deductions and Attachment of Earnings Orders (AEOs).
*Produce P45s and process HMRC notifications.
*Prepare BACS payment files for submission.
*Process holiday pay requests.
*Check and process CIS contractor invoices.
*Handle payroll queries from contractors, agencies, HMRC, DWP and other external organisations.
*Produce payroll reports and updates as required.
*Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and procedures.
*Provide general administrative support to the Finance team.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you’ll be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering accurate payroll services.
You’ll ideally have:
*Previous experience working within a payroll administration role.
*Knowledge of pensions, auto-enrolment and high-volume payroll processing (desirable).
*Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and payroll systems.
*Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
*Outstanding attention to detail.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*The ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
*A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
