The Role
As Deputy Manager, you’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the home provides outstanding care, safeguarding and support for the children who live there.
You’ll be a visible leader, role model and mentor, helping to create a positive culture where both children and colleagues can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting the day-to-day running of the home
*Leading shifts and managing operational priorities
*Coaching, mentoring and developing staff
*Ensuring safeguarding remains at the heart of everything we do
*Supporting Ofsted readiness and regulatory compliance
*Completing audits and quality assurance activities
*Promoting positive outcomes for children and young people
*Deputising for the Registered Manager when required
*Participating in the management on-call rota
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:
Experience within Children’s Residential Care
Experience supervising or leading teams
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Strong safeguarding knowledge
A passion for improving outcomes for children
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Full UK Driving Licence
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
*Previous Deputy Manager experience
*Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards it)
*Experience supporting Ofsted inspections
*Experience driving service improvements and quality standards
