Right Now Group are recruiting for an experienced Air Export Supervisor to join a leading global logistics business within their Air Freight team based at their Hounslow facility
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Air Export professional with previous team leadership or supervisory experience to take the next step in their career. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee the day-to-day export operation, support and develop your team, and act as a key escalation point for customers and operational issues.
Key Responsibilities of an Air Export Supervisor
*Lead, coach and develop a team of Air Export Coordinators, managing daily workloads to ensure shipments meet airline timelines and customer deadlines.
*Act as the main escalation point for key customers, resolving operational issues quickly and professionally.
*Oversee export documentation, including commercial invoices, customs declarations and compliance checks.
*Coordinate with airlines, General Sales Agents and handling agents to secure bookings and manage uplift performance.
*Monitor KPIs, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
*Support onboarding and training whilst working closely with warehouse, import, finance and customer service teams.
The Successful Candidate
*Proven Air Export operations experience, ideally within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
*Previous team leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to coach, develop and mentor a team.
*Strong understanding of airline requirements, cargo handling and export documentation.
*Knowledge of Dangerous Goods, customs and aviation security regulations.
*Confident using freight forwarding systems and airline portals.
*Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and problem-solve.
*Must have resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years due to security clearance requirements.
Salary & Benefits
*£38,000-£45,000, depending on experience.
