Role: Recovery Worker
Duration: 2 months
Hours: Full-time
Start: Urgent / Immediate
Pay: Starting from £14.50 per hour PAYE + holiday pay or £18.00 per hour Umbrella
Experienced candidates: Rates may be increased depending on experience
The OpportunityWe are urgently looking for an experienced Recovery Worker to join the multidisciplinary team at Winstone House, Blackpool, on a 2-month full-time assignment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Recovery Worker to support individuals throughout their treatment and recovery journey, helping to reduce drug and alcohol-related harm and promote long-term recovery, independence and social reintegration.
Key Responsibilities*Support service users from initial entry through their treatment and recovery journey.
*Complete screening, triage and comprehensive assessments.
*Develop and review individual recovery plans using motivational interviewing techniques.
*Act as a Care Coordinator for an allocated caseload.
*Support social reintegration and meaningful community involvement.
*Carry out risk assessments and develop appropriate risk-management plans.
*Coordinate onward referrals to treatment, health and community services.
*Work alongside prescribing clinicians to support substitute prescribing programmes.
*Promote recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination.
*Help develop recovery communities and strengthen links with local recovery and mutual-aid groups.
*Ensure accurate and timely recording, data collection and reporting.
*Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary and multi-agency team.
We’re Looking ForThe ideal candidate will have:
*Previous experience working within CGL (Change Grow Live).
*Experience using CRiiS.
*Previous experience as a Recovery Worker, Care Coordinator or within a drug and alcohol treatment setting.
*Experience with assessments, recovery planning and risk management.
*Knowledge of substance-misuse treatment and harm-reduction approaches.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*A person-centred, flexible and recovery-focused approach.
*The ability to manage a caseload and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
