We’re recruiting an experienced Audit Partner or Audit Director ready to step up to join a growing accountancy practice in Manchester.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious audit professional to take a leading role across client delivery, audit quality, team leadership and business development, working with a varied portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and larger groups.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead and oversee a portfolio of audit and assurance engagements
* Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
* Deliver high-quality audits in line with UK GAAP, IFRS and professional standards
* Act as a trusted adviser, providing commercially focused insight to clients
* Identify and develop new business opportunities
* Support the strategic growth and development of the audit practice
* Lead, mentor and develop audit teams
* Drive audit quality, technical excellence and continuous improvement
* Work collaboratively with other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions
* Contribute to the firm’s wider strategic and commercial objectives


About You

*ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified
* Significant post-qualified external audit experience
* Proven experience leading audits and managing client relationships
* Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards
* Experience working with SMEs, owner-managed businesses and/or larger groups
* Previous experience at Audit Manager, Senior Manager, Director or Partner level
*RI status, or the ability and willingness to obtain RI status
* Strong commercial awareness and business development skills
* Excellent leadership, communication and relationship-building skills
* Entrepreneurial and proactive approach with the ambition to contribute at Partner level
