Location: Fully Remote
Rate: £25–£30 per hour umbrella, depending on experience
Contract: 3 months ongoing
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Working Pattern: Fully remote

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Revenues Officer to join a local authority Revenues team on a temporary ongoing basis.
The role will have a strong focus on Business Rates, dealing with a range of cases and ensuring revenues are collected in line with relevant legislation and procedures.

Key Responsibilities*Manage a caseload of Business Rates accounts and enquiries.
*Assess and process Business Rates cases accurately and within required timescales.
*Apply Non-Domestic Rates legislation, recovery procedures and relevant relief schemes.
*Interpret legislation and make decisions on complex or challenging cases.
*Deal with enquiries from businesses and other stakeholders professionally.
*Maintain accurate records and ensure all actions are properly documented.
*Support the wider Revenues service as required.
The successful candidate will have:
*Previous experience working within a Local Authority Revenues service.
*Strong and recent Business Rates experience.
*Good knowledge of Non-Domestic Rates legislation, recovery processes and relief schemes.
*The ability to interpret legislation and apply it to complex cases.
*Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
*The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
*Experience working remotely with minimal supervision.
