We’re recruiting an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Taunton.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA-qualified accountant with strong audit experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility. You’ll lead complex assignments, manage key client relationships and play an important role in developing junior auditors and improving internal processes.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage complex audit assignments from planning through to completion
* Take responsibility for key client relationships and act as a trusted adviser
* Review audit files and ensure work meets professional and regulatory standards
* Identify and resolve technical and audit issues
* Supervise, mentor and develop junior members of the audit team
* Support Managers and Partners with larger and more complex engagements
* Monitor budgets, deadlines and workflow across assignments
* Identify opportunities to improve audit processes and team efficiency
* Contribute to the development of the wider audit team and internal procedures


About You

*ACA or ACCA qualified
* Proven experience managing audits within an accountancy practice
* Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
* Experience leading complex assignments and managing client relationships
* Confident supervising, coaching and developing junior auditors
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines
* Proactive approach with the ambition to progress within practice
